Our Facility

Solid Rock Community School is housed within the beautiful property of Highest Praise Family Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida. From the outside it is impossible to imagine the space that is available.  You must take a tour to fully appreciate it!

The main building is  two stories.  The upper level is fully equipped with classrooms, a computer lab, a small library, bathrooms, and our Principal’s office.  The first floor accommodates our reception area, administrative offices, meeting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, cafe and lunch room, student ministry center, bathrooms, and a beautiful church sanctuary.

Our Sunshine building is housed in a building of its own, only steps away from our cafe and student center.  It  features a large multi-purpose classroom, small classroom, therapy room, storage room, and bathrooms.

SRCS offers a  state of the art computer lab with new computers and printers and internet access throughout all buildings.   Solid Rock is proud to implement new technology in our classrooms including: laptops, smartboards, mimio boards, projectors, student response systems, and HDTVs.

Our student center has a stage and sound system available to offer large classes, plays, workshops, concerts, and other special events full stage, sound, and video capabilities- and, as always, our school wide weekly chapel service!

All classrooms are equipped with new desks or tables, chairs, whiteboards, and storage cabinets. Each classroom is stocked and decorated for the needs of the class.  Solid Rock also has a fully functional science lab to offer its students plenty of experimental and hands-on opportunities.

We have lockers for our student body and an elevator for those with handicaps or special circumstances.  Water fountains are located on the first floor and a vending machine is available in the cafe.  The building also has a 3rd floor storage area and storage pods on the property….for all of our storage needs.  The facility is fully up to code and state regulations.  The sanctuary is even coded as a hurricane shelter.

In the interest of safety, Solid Rock Community School uses a video surveillance system to monitor activity in and around the school building.  During the school day we use the surveillance system to monitor the hallways, stairwells, computer lab, entrances/exits of the building, and school grounds. After hours the system is used to deter vandalism, trespassing, and/or theft and will provide school officials with information and evidence that would not otherwise be available. Each classroom is equipped with an intercom system to allow the teacher quick connection with the Principals office.

The outside area offers a playground for our younger students, a back area paved for basketball, and plenty of field and treed areas for after-school sports, PE classes, and school parties.  A science class has even used the property as an excavation site.

The property offers plenty of parking and is beautifully maintained.  Solid Rock Community School is conveniently located on the lines of Pasco and Pinellas County.
