College and Career Prep

Solid Rock Community School is a school that builds confidence and changes lives. We deliver a customized approach to learning that is responsive to student interests and supports and empowers them to move forward with courage in college, career, and life. We are deeply dedicated to knowing and valuing our students and challenging them to invest in their education and discover new passions.

In the same spirit that drives our personalized and customized learning approach, our Academic Advisor provides an individualized approach for each unique student in the Solid Rock Community School family. Via discussions and meetings with students and parents, the Academic Advisor will ask the critically important questions that help determine the college or career path that is right for each student.

Solid Rock Community School prepares the high school student to meet all the graduation requirements and fulfill their high school plan so they can reach their personal and post-graduation goals.

Did you know that many Solid Rock Community School graduates have earned the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship? This scholarship is for high academic achievers and qualifies them for free college!

SRCS students are eligible to participate in the NCAA eligibility process. Students could then be eligible to participate in a Division I or II college sport.

Many students have received college credits while in high school, and some have even graduated from high school receiving their college AA degree only weeks before or after their high school graduation.

In the 10th grade, students take the PSAT. Eligible students in 10th-12th grade have dual enrollment opportunities.  Students in grades 11 and 12 meet with the Academic Advisor and are provided with support in planning for life after high school.

When it comes to the college application process, our philosophy is that each student find the best “fit” for college- academically, socially, and financially. The search for the right program, college, or university involves the need to look at the values, strengths and goals of each young person. By their senior year, students are equipped with the knowledge and self-awareness to make informed decisions about their academic futures and find the best environment where they will continue to thrive.
