Solid Rock Community School offers many options for homeschool families. Community Day (Fridays) is open for homeschooler participation. It is a great
opportunity for your child to have social and academic experiences not typically available in the home.
Community Day differs from the traditional homeschool co-op that offers one day a week of traditional classes (math, language arts…). Instead, Community Day is one day a week of specialty workshops called “Experiences” which rotate during the year allowing each student to have many different academic and enrichment experiences. The day is structured and supervised, yet the workshop activities are extremely fun, hands-on, and social. Community Day participation encourages teamwork, problem solving, creativity, thinking outside the box, and peer relationships. Examples of past “Experiences” include: Wood working, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Dance and Circus Arts, Theater, Lego Robotics, Robotics, STEM, Forensics, Art, Music, Community Service, Florida History and Geography, Kayaking and so much more.
Homeschoolers are welcome to participate as space allows in Solid Rock’s Community Day and Experience the Solid Rock Difference!
