This class is a conceptual examination of the basics of speech production and the application of speaking skills such as extemporaneous speaking, declamation, and oral interpretation. Students will also employ critical analysis to construct and support arguments that will be applied to oratory and debate.
The objective of this course is to give the student a solid foundation in articulation, resonance, and diction, as well the ability to critically engage the spoken and written word through oration and debate.
