Community Day & Workshops

We refer to Fridays as Community Day, a time for our students to experience learning as a natural byproduct of activities and experiences beyond their regular academic classes. Through participation, students develop a sense of community and pride in their school and learn valuable skills in leadership, planning, and cooperation.

Every Friday, students participate in workshops. Because these workshops are offered during the school day (as opposed to after-school clubs), more students are able to participate. Elective credit is received for workshop participation.

Workshops rotate every quarter and are led by teachers, professionals, and hobbyists.
