The Arts

With tight budgets, schools often cut out the Arts. Solid Rock says NO! We offer a robust variety of elective classes and workshops in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Media Arts, Literary Arts and Applied Arts.

“Art does not solve problems, but makes us aware of their existence,” sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz said.

Arts education, on the other hand, does solve problems. Years of research show that it’s closely linked to almost everything that we as a nation say we want for our children and demand from our schools: academic achievement, social and emotional development, civic engagement, and equitable opportunity. –Edutopia

Solid Rock Community School offers students of all ages opportunities in the arts: fine arts, visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and culinary arts.  We believe the arts is a great tool for creativity and expression.
