S.A.V.E – Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education

The S.A.V.E  program is currently held at our Support Center, 3374 Keystone Rd. in Tarpon Springs until the sanctuary campus is complete

School is from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm each day.  The classroom and vet lab are well appointed with equipment and supplies relevant to the animal care and vet program. All teachers are experienced professionals who are knowledgeable and excited about the subject they teach.  Staff also includes a vet tech and veterinarian.

Solid Rock Community School offers a high school program, called “SAVE” (Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education) for students with a true passion and interest in animal related career and college opportunities. These students will graduate with numerous hours of clinical experience, many certifications and college credits. Example classes and experience include – Animal Behaviors, Animal Care, Animal Grooming, Animal Rescue & Rehab, Animal Rights Law, Habitats (natural & bioactive), Humane Education, Sustainable Food & Gardening, Vet Assisting & Tech, Veterinary Medicine, Wildlife Conservationist and more . Some of the animal experiences included and examples of animals in the program are – domesticated animals (dogs, cats), farm animals (pigs, cows, chickens), exotic animals (chinchillas, hedgehogs), reptiles (turtles, bearded dragons), primates (marmosets, lemurs), birds (doves, amazons, parrots).
